Re-elect David Beyer

My name is David Beyer and I am running for re-election for NEISD Single Member District 4. In the past 5 years, as the current Trustee, I have fought for our students, our teachers, and our communities to promote excellence and innovation within our district. We must position ourselves as the “District of Choice” within Bexar County, and I am the candidate to make it happen.

I attended public schools growing up in Austin and then graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. With 25 years of professional experience, I have the skillset to listen, evaluate, and act. My wife and son both graduated from MacArthur High School, where my daughter is currently a sophomore. As a family, we have enjoyed the experiences at our neighborhood schools and can’t imagine life without the relationships we have nurtured.

My passion for public education comes from my mother, who was a first-grade teacher for 30 years. The time and dedication she poured into her students year after year is not unlike the incredible effort I see from our schools today. As parents and guardians, we need to work together to help navigate our children’s educational journey.

Our students and our community deserve and expect a learning environment that is safe, academically challenging, and responsive to the needs of our diverse population; and I am the candidate who will push for NEISD to stay at the forefront of a competitive educational marketplace in Bexar County.
